Welcome Back!

Welcome back, designers! It’s officially 2026! We hope you all had a wonderful break and a good start to the new year!

This month, we have a few events to start the year, so come hang out and get back into the swing of the semester.

Board Game Night

Join us on Jan. 15th from 7-9 pm in CVAD Rm 365 for this no-pressure game night to start off the semester. Just bring yourself and some friends, play some board games, hang out, and chat!

Limited edition screen-printed poster for Die Hard.

A series of covers for the digital release of Harry Potter

This month, we’re featuring Olly Moss, a graphic designer, illustrator, and artist based in the UK, who is known for his pop culture posters and screen prints featuring characters from movies, video games, animations, and TV shows. His work is crisp, cleverly detailed, and hearkens back to older movie posters such as those by Saul Bass. Check out more of his work on his website or Instagram!

Graphis is still available for submissions!

Rising creatives, showcase your creative in the prestigious Graphis New Talent Awards for 2026. Students can still submit their innovative work for a chance to win Platinum, Gold, and Silver awards. Enter a single work for $40 or a series (1-7 images) for $80. Share your emerging skills with the creative community today!

The Animayo Poster Competition is an international contest that invites people to submit their original artwork for the 2026 contest. The winning work will be used to promote the Animayo Poster event for 2026. Check out previous years’ winners as well as the rules for the competition on their site from the link above. This contest is completely FREE!
